As I read about the Wilkins Ice Shelf collapsing into the ocean, I wondered what could I do as an individual to become more environmentally friendly? I'm taking an energy concepts class at university and am becoming more enlightened (and angry) as I look at the energy over consumers we are here in the United States. So, tonight, my 3 children sat down by candle light and discussed how electricity is made (wind, solar, coal, nuclear, hydro, etc.) and discussed the consequences of each. Hopefully they will be more informed consumers as they grow older.
